Sensei Says

The UTA celebration day was a great success and we were honoured to have John Penrose MP visit us during the celebrations and present a number of volunteers with a vase depicting the UTA logo in recognition for all their hard work.

John has followed the growth of our association and clubs since we first set up the Rising Stars in January 2006 and we thanked him for his supported by presenting him with a gift to remember us by.

Sensei Citti and friends joined us for another course hosted by the UTA and held at the Campus at the beginning of June. The course was well attended and Bradley did an excellent job of uke all weekend due to Rachids injury. At the end of the course Sensei Citti honoured Sensei Helena & Sensei John by promoting them to Nidan.

I would also like to congratulate Sensei Mike Higgins for getting his Nidan at a recent course in Crewkerne given by Sensei Barry Gibson 4th Dan.

We will be hosting a Multi-style Martial Arts course in September at the Campus and Sensei Al is organising this event, check out the news & events page for more details.

Sensei Citti is returning to England in September and once the venue has been decided I will put details on the news & events page.

The clubs & UTA will continue to grow as long as we remember our core values.
